Your First Session

This is a very important first step in beginning to address whatever has brought you to this point. It would be natural for you to feel a little anxious. 

Partly for this reason your first session may last a little longer than the usual time of 50 minutes. This is to allow enough time for you to share what has brought you to counselling and to think about what you wish to gain from it, and for me to gain the necessary information to make a proper assessment of your situation. It also gives us the opportunity to discuss if, and how, we feel we can work together to your benefit, and on what basis. 

If we decide to go ahead, sessions thereafter are 50 minutes, and are weekly, on the same day and time.
